The Elder Scrolls Online: March 2025 Events and Updates

Mar-11-2025 PST

The Whitestrake's Mayhem event in The Elder Scrolls Online has just wrapped up, but March is packed with exciting new content, updates, and events for players to enjoy. Whether you're a dedicated PvP player, an adventurer looking for new dungeons, or someone eager to participate in festive events, there's plenty to look forward to this month. In this article, we'll break down everything happening in March, how to prepare for upcoming events, and highlight exciting additions to the Crown Store and Golden Pursuits.

Daily Login Rewards: PvP-Themed Freebies

Even though Whitestrake's Mayhem has ended, PvP remains a focal point in March's daily login rewards. The rewards include:

Day 6: 5,000 Alliance Points – A great incentive for PvP enthusiasts.

• Day 8: Three Crown Riding Lessons – A bonus from February's downtime goodwill rewards.

• Day 10: 10 Crown Repair Kits – Useful for maintaining gear durability.

• Day 13: 100 Gold Coast Lethal Poisons – While not commonly used, they can be beneficial for specific PvP builds.

Make sure to log in daily to claim these free rewards and make the most of the incentives.

Special Endeavors and PvP Events

Special PvP-Themed Endeavor (March 17th)

A unique PvP-related endeavor launches on March 17th, rewarding 230 Seals of Endeavor for defeating 10 players in Cyrodiil. This is an excellent opportunity to earn Seals and engage in the war between alliances.

Battlegrounds Deathmatch Weekend

While Whitestrake's Mayhem is over, PvP action continues with a Deathmatch Weekend. If you join a Battleground match, it will default to Deathmatch mode, allowing for intense, fast-paced combat over the weekend.

Update 45 and Fallen Banners Dungeon Pack

March brings the highly anticipated Update 45 and the new Fallen Banners Dungeon Pack, launching on different dates for PC and console players.

• March 10th: PC/Mac release

• March 26th: Console release

What's New in Update 45?

1. Two New Dungeons:

    • The dungeons have a Psijic Order theme and revolve around the Alliance Banner War.

    • Expect powerful new gear sets and challenging boss fights.

2. Starter Zone Revamps:

    • The starter zones receive visual and structural updates, making them more aligned with newer zones in the game.

3. Champion Point Tree Updates:

    • Some Green CP abilities will now be passive, streamlining gameplay and making it easier to manage buffs.

Update 45 introduces quality-of-life improvements that players have been requesting for years. If you're eager to jump in early, PC/Mac players will get access first, while console players can enjoy a more polished experience later in the month.

Guild Celebration Event (March 12th)

Earlier this year, ZeniMax Online Studios held a sign-up for guild leaders and potential guild leaders to participate in the 2025 Guild Summit. While the summit itself isn't happening in March, the social channels will feature guild-focused content and events starting March 12th.

If you're not in a guild yet, now is the perfect time to join one or even create your own! Guilds play a huge role in ESO, offering trading opportunities, social experiences, and group activities like Trials and PvP.

Cyrodiil Champions Test Campaign (March 21st - 31st)

A new Cyrodiil Champions Test Campaign will run from March 21st to March 31st, exclusive to PC and Mac players. This event tests a modified version of Cyrodiil where:

• Skills are simplified, making combat more accessible.

• Massive battles (Zerg fights) are encouraged.

ZeniMax is testing server performance before implementing permanent changes to Cyrodiil. PvP players are encouraged to participate and provide feedback.

Golden Pursuits: Cyrodiil Conquest (March 24th - 31st)

Another Golden Pursuits event will take place from March 24th to March 31st, rewarding PvP players with ESO gold, Alliance Points, and exclusive cosmetic items. The Cyrodiil Conquest event is open to both PC and console players and is separate from the test campaign.

Past Golden Pursuits events have included unique armor styles and mini pet rewards, making them worth participating in even if you're not a hardcore PvP player.

Jester's Festival (March 27th - April 3rd)

The beloved Jester's Festival returns, bringing comedy, mischief, and April Fools' Day-themed quests to The Elder Scrolls Online. The event allows players to:

• Complete humorous quests involving pranks on the Alliance leaders.

• Earn event tickets to trade for unique collectibles.

• Obtain Jester's Festival-themed rewards, including costumes, emotes, and novelty items.

More details about the Jester's Festival will be revealed closer to its start date, but expect a fun, lighthearted break from the usual ESO grind.

Upcoming April Announcement (Save the Date: April 10th)

March is exciting, but it also leads directly into April, when ZeniMax Online Studios will reveal ESO's next big update and content roadmap for the rest of the year. Mark your calendars for April 10th at 1:00 PM Eastern when they'll host a Twitch livestream unveiling what's next for The Elder Scrolls Online.

There will likely be Twitch Drops, so make sure to tune in and claim your rewards!

Conclusion

March is shaping up to be an action-packed month for The Elder Scrolls Online, featuring:

• Update 45 and two new dungeons.

• Ongoing PvP events like the Cyrodiil Champions Test Campaign and Golden Pursuits: Cyrodiil Conquest.
